WhatsApp 2.11.186 Update Offers New Privacy Settings, 'Pay For A Friend,' And More

WhatsApp, the incredibly popular messaging service recently acquired by Facebook for 19 Instagrams dropped an update for Android users today, bringing the app up to version 2.11.186. The update brings to the Play Store features beta users have enjoyed since version 2.11.181 earlier this month.

Users who grab the update will enjoy new privacy settings for "last seen," profile photo, and status (allowing users to limit who can see each), a camera shortcut (a 1x1 widget for quick photo capture), and several other UI improvements. Here's the full list of changes:

One of the most interesting new features is the ability for users to pay for each other's WhatsApp subscriptions. For those unaware, WhatsApp is free for a year, after which the service asks a meager $0.99 payment per year to continue service. Android users are now able to pay for their friends' subscriptions on Android or other mobile platforms including Windows Phone, Blackberry, and iOS.

Follow these Steps:- 

1. Install driver in your PC.

2. Extract the Stock ROM folder where you want

3. Extract and open the SP Flash Tools. sptool.exe Run as Administrator

4. Click on Scatter-Loading and the program will ask you the location of the scatter loading file for your device. In the extracted folder of the stock rom, go to the Rom folder and select the file "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc" which is our scatter loading file.

6. Switch off your phone and Remove the battery after few minute attach battery don’t switch on your phone. (Make sure it is switched off).

7. In Flash Tool, go to Options and Click USB Mode so that it is enabled. Click options again and then go to DA Download All > Speed and finally select High Speed.

8. Click the Download option and Connect your switch off phone with PC by USB cable.

9. The Flash Tool will start the flashing process.

Note: - Don't interrupt this process as it can potentially brick your device. Make sure no power interruption takes place.

10. After the process completes, a green ring will appear.
